Wow! Is this the best pickleball doubles point ever? It sure is an exciting one, with all aspects of the game on display. Have a look by clicking on the link below.
After watching this sterling play, are we ready to put in the time and energy to improve our respective games? We’ll be working with the Club to structure some fun drills to do that this season. In the mean time, those beginning the game should check in with the Club’s Tennis Desk (760-772-4432), that’ll arrange mini-clinics with others. And those more experienced players, organized play begins on Tuesday, October 10, but let us know if you want a game by leaving a message below. .
As mentioned earlier, the season for pickleball at Indian Ridge is about to get started. If there are those members out there that want to get a start on the season, we can have a beginning-player mini-clinic this Sunday at 8 am and organized play for all levels at 9am. Let us know below if you’re “in” for one or the other, or both, of these season-beginning events. Paddles can be borrowed from the Tennis Desk.
Over night rain in Park City canceled morning pickleball. But then the sun came out and there was a balloon festival happening right off our deck, with all sorts of balloons gliding across our lake. Have a look!
Oh, see you in October when Indian Ridge pickleball gets going, full steam, for another season of fun (and challenges).
So last weekend’s Tournament of Champions Gold Medal Pro Doubles match was won by the desert’s own Marcin Rozpedski and Morgan Evans in the heat of the day in Brigham City, Utah. Nancy & I know about the hot sun beating down on us as we suffered courtside to see this match to it’s conclusion. Little did we realized that over our shoulders was a video camera that was recording it all without melting, as we were. Anyways, it’s a great recording of a great match, won by our boys in two games, against two much younger pros. Sooo, sit back cooley and enjoy the best in pickleball play. Just click the link below, pan down and click on watch “Here”:
The Men’s Pro Doubles team of Marcin Rozpedski ( The Lakes CC Sports Director and former IRCC tennis pro) and Morgan Evans (the Shadow Mountain pro) swept the Tournament of Champions event yesterday at Brigham City, Utah, beating a younger team of Kyle Yeats and Dave Weinbach twice 2-0, 2-0. The photo below was taken before the Gold Medal award ceremony (Nancy & I just had to get out of the hot sun as soon as possible). Congrats to Palm Desert’s own Gold Medalists, Marcin and Morgan!
So now we’re into September here in Park City, Utah. This Labor Day weekend is the Tournament of Champions in Brigham City, a leading three-day, pro-player event. It’ll feature pros that we know : Marcin Rozpedski, Morgan Evans, and Scott Burr (who all played in our IRCC exhibition last fall), along with others like Kyle Yates and Simone Jardim. We’ll be reporting on the action, so stay tuned.
Meanwhile, click on the link below to view a good drop shot practice routine that we’ll try out at the Club this fall to sharpen our games (with or without a ball machine, which would be good to have?).
