Wow, Champs in our midst…..

Folks, Let’s have a “good job” cheer for the IRCC members who won medals in this weekend’s tournament at The Springs Country Club. They are:

Jack Yeaton, with partner Stuart Silk, won Gold in the Men’s Doubles 65+ 3.0 skill level bracket;

George Balch, with partner Tad Yukawa, won Gold in the Men’s Doubles 65+ 3.5 skill level bracket and also a Silver in the Men’s Doubles  65+ 4.0; and

the team of Kim Boestam and Dean Weise captured Silver in the Mixed Doubles 50= 3.5 event.

Thanks for putting Indian Ridge on the pickleball tournament map this season.

Many thanks to those who played last Saturday with Sunrise CC.  Look forward to our SuperBowl Games on Sunday, February 3rd.  More Info to come…

Inter-Club PB Match – Saturday, January 19

This is the happy Bogies & Faults group who played in the first combined pickleball/tennis/golf competition last Thursday. Notice how proud the pickleballers were, bringing their paddles to the driving range.

Looks like the sun will be shining next Saturday for our Inter-Club match with Sunrise Country Club at Indian Ridge at 10am ( Sorry to report that yesterday’s match was rained out).  So let us know if you are available to play Saturday by clicking below and sending an email to our Events Coordinator (if you noted same on the list at the courts today, you can send a confirming email).

We’ll encourage Sunrise players to join us for lunch at JK’s afterwards.  If you can join in, it’s a great way to meet new friends in the valley.

I’m available for the Inter-Club this Saturday.

And the winners are…..???

Well done Fred and Andrea for winning first place overall in the first pickleball or tennis and then golf competition, the Club’s fully loaded 2019 Bogies & Faults event. And congrats also go to Dave and Nadine who battled into a strong second place.

It was such a fun event that there’s a rumor that we may have another such battle later in April.  So stay tuned and jump on it when we know for sure.

Bogie & Faults – Thursday, January 10

But you have to do either of these by noon on Monday in order to join in the fun. This is a great opportunity to further enjoy the company of our Pickleball and Tennis Friends.  Don’t hesitate…Sign Up Now!

I’m available if you find me a good partner

Another step forward???

Competition gets the blood flowing and attitude sharpened!

We seen some impressive development among our beginning pickleballers, but maybe it could be better. So, our complementary Saturday morning clinics are available to members who have taken one introductory clinic and want to take another step forward. We’ll spend some more time on the strategy of the game, the best positioning on the court and the most optimal shots to play at the time.  Come on over to the courts this Saturday at 8am for some valuable pointers and an hour of smart game playing.
